Apple sent out media invitations to an event on September 1st where the company is expected to announce an updated iPod line-up. Apple sent out emails invitations with the place and the time of the event, which will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco. "It is time for the iPod Touch update," analyst Rob Enderle of Enderle Group in Silicon Valley told Reuters. "They tend to refresh the iPod now. The only thing that is heavy speculation is if they will mention Apple TV."Apple has been known to refresh its iPod line in September to get them ready for the holiday-shopping season. The event invitation features a picture of a guitar with the sound-hole shaped like an apple. According to Enderle, the iPod Touch was elected to be upgraded to get "pretty much everything" the latest generation iPhone has gotten.
